Default Collector's Editions and GW2

Hi,

I don't know if this has been asked before but I was wondering whether we would get anything special for our GW2 character if we had the Collector's Editions from GW. I'm asking this specifically because of the Divine Aura and how hard it is to find the original Collector's Edition. Would be cool to take something like that over to the next game, maybe even develop it a little more

Or maybe it's just a stupid idea...

Would be nice to have additional items or special aura in GW2 if you have collector edition/s from GW1 (says the guy with all the collector editions. )

I would personally rather they develop new CE's for GW2 and leave the GW1 CE's as is, without any tangible or intangible benefit in GW2. I have all 3 but I'm already getting my benefit from the CE's now.

That and I would like for people to be able to get the new CE's rather than have to pay $1000 for a GW1 CE when GW2 comes out and there is some "benefit" available in GW2.

CE for GW should have absolutely no links to GW2. If anything, there might be a CE of GW2, which could have something special similar to Divine Aura.

I'm not really sure what standards a company will have before they decide to release a CE, but I think that with where they stand now, a CE of GW2 is one of the last things in ANet's mind.

When I asked they said they wouldn't know more until it was closer to the GW2 release date. But there would be a GW2 collectors edition if I remember correctly.

Erm I have every collectors and honestly I don't think they should carry on. People already have been seen paying way too much, past $200 for copies when I got mine for $20. I always thought collector editions were for fans of the game when it first came out not who would dish out the most when it died :P but I guess it's both.

So basically it's uncertain yet.

until told otherwize, the only thing that will link gw1 and gw2 is the HoM, that is the only thing that has been told would link the 2.

It was stated long ago that nothing physical could/would be brought over from GW to GW2.

Having an HoM in GW would give you a visible something in GW2, but nothing that would give you any advantage over other players.
